Tobias has supported ventures such as CompoundX, focusing on the moments where technical decisions have long-term consequences. He works at the stage where architecture is fragile, trade-offs are irreversible, and speed must coexist with durability. His role is to ensure that what is shipped early can still stand months and years later.

Inside the portfolio, he acts as a close technical partner to founders and may step in as interim CTO when needed. He guides early product development, supports technical hiring, and translates business priorities into structured engineering roadmaps. Before OSS, Tobias accumulated over 25 years of experience in web technologies, including nearly a decade in CTO roles at companies such as LeCab and Videdressing. He led technical teams, defined long-term roadmaps, and managed critical infrastructure. He later spent five years at Cloudflare as a Solutions Engineer, specializing in web performance and Zero Trust cybersecurity, regularly speaking at industry events. His background spans software engineering, site reliability engineering, and architecture, giving him the range to support ventures from first commit to scalable platform.
